ResearchResearch is needed to obtain upgrades for buildings and military. When you assign scientists, produced by laboratoriums, they will invest 1 research point every tick. Once you have enough research points invested the level of the research Category will raise. Though with every research level obtained, it will become harder to get a level higher in any research. There is a research category for every building and every different military unit that influences the price and the capabilities of the buildong or unit. the table below shows with what percent the price raises and what the influence of the research is per level.
