Yay, reset! Rounds of one year, aren't they fun? :).

The round has been reset. It took a while, but there it is ;). No changes have been made unfortunately. I'm in the middle of my exams, so no changes should be expected very soon. I check the forums regularly to see if anyone posted bugs etc.

Also a happy new year everyone. May Cosmic Chaos finally get finished in this year :).

The round has been reset and the folliwing changes have been made:
-You can only have as much military as you have pop
-Every unit uses 1 pop. And every pop used for military does not bring in income
-Every unit in a fleet has to be paid 1 lithan per tick
-The account system has been changed. when the game is reset, you do not need to register again. You can login, but you'll have to make a new empire. the new system also makes it possible to view the ingame forums, when you are dead or not playing.
-You can change your password now.

Remember, you don't have to register again. Just use your username/password from last round, and you will be able to login.

The round will be restarted after the weekend.

Before I reset the round I will implement some sort of continuous account system. This means you don't have to register every time again, when a round resets. You will also be able to view the ingame forums when you died.

Further I will make it so that military costs lithan:
-Every military unit costs 1 lithan per tick for upkeep
-Every military unit in a fleet uses 1 pop. That pop won't have to pay taxes.

I will also make it so you can't have more military then you have population.

The round has been reset. I changed income values for lithan mines and housing facilities. I also uploaded a part of the guide.

I made it so you can not use special characters in fleet and planet names (like ', " or \ ). I ran a script to remove all special characters from fleet and planet names.

The game will be reset one of the days. I will change income values of most buildings so it will be harder to get to the max military and to get these huge networths.

A news system was added. It tells you when you sent a fleet, wether you los or won a battle and what your losses are.

Research was added :). Military becomes stronger, but also a bit more expensive. Buildings produce more of what they should produce, and also get a bit more expensive :).

Build laboratoriums to make researchers and assign your researchers to a research. Research works with levels, the higher he level, the better the military unit or the better the building, but also the more expensive.

Ok, I've finished a combat script (I think it works), so testing it is not far anymore. I will upload it somewhere today and reset the round at the same time. So new round will start somewhere today :-D

Obviously I did soemthing wrong while testing. Result is that noone has planets. So I think the time is right now for a little reset :-D. I will reset everything somewhere tonight as I don't have the time now. I'm sorry this happened and I'll try to avoid such things in the future. Also I learned that back-ups are very important :-D.

Also please remember this is still a game in alpha and such things can happen and probably will (but hopefully won't) happen in the future.

I have finished combat :-D. I'm not sure if it works correctly (if it works at all) as I haven't had time to test yet. I will do this 2morrow or the day after 2morrow hopefully which means I will be messing around with accounts. When I think everything is fine I will restart the round :).

I was moved to a new server recently which caused the few days downtime. It came unexpected to me and I had no idea what was going on. Everything should be fixed now so the playing can continue :)

I reset the game, but there's a little problem with filling up the universe with planets again. I'm working on it and I hope to solve it asap.

The lay-out of the planet page changed. I hope you like it more then the previous one. I'm thinking of adding some js that will change the backgroundcolor of a row when you move over it with the cursor, it will make stuff more clear.

In case you were worried, I'm still alive and working on the game. I'm now working on the combat script, and if it is finished there will be a basic combat. I will make it better later on, but like this you will have fun :).

Exams start tomorrow so I won't have much time to work.
Oh, and now also the 'how much you can build'-number should be totally correct.

I have finished the fleet moving script. It probably isn't perfect yet, but fleets can move now. Combat will be added later. I'm also thinking at redesigning the main page. If you have have ideas, they're always welcome ;)

From now on it is possible to create new fleets and send them to a planet. The fleets won't go to the planet yet, but I'll try to implement that as soon as possible. I'm now working on adding military to your fleets, which I hope will be done this evening.

Military is now almost fully completed. It gives now also networth. I will implement the release function later as that isn't too important right now. Next thing will be combat (This will take a while to code though so don't expect combat to be working tomorrow).

I have almost completed military. You can now order the military and you will pay for it. you can not yet release military and it will not be build yet(That's gonna be the most boring part about the military). I'll try to work on it tomorrow if school doesn't give me to much homework.

I'm now working on military. You can already see the page itslef as it will (probably) look like. At the moment there isn't much you will be able to do though. When I finsih military I will start with combat (what will be very hard to do as the combat system is more advanced then in most games). When that is finsihed I will reset the game.

Sign ups are open again :)


I had to set all pop back to 500, because some people were having problems with pop (someone had just 5 pop). It is not only you which just got 500 pop...

I have reset the game yesterday evening (Belgian time). I am now changing the planet system. All planets you have will already exist before you explore them. So all places in the browser will already be full. I will make more planets eventually when it seems there is a serious shortage of planets. I will also see this round how fast everything goes. Prices have increased and income has been decreased, so don't worry if you can't buy much buildings. Registering will be open again once the planet system is fulle ready :)

One of the coming days I will reset Cosmic Chaos. I think that for the moment everything is going too fast. Numbers go too high too fast. I will also implement a new planet system so a big part of the universe will be filled with planets. I will also implement coords for the planets. Doing all this might take a while though. Especially now school starts again :(.

I fixed a small building costs bug. Before prices stayed the same while building. This allowed you to save up money, raze all buildings and build max buildings.
